What the Bible Says About Patience:
Psalm 37:7-9 Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper—it only leads to harm. For the wicked will be destroyed, but those who trust in the Lord will possess the land.
Psalm 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry.
Psalm 86:15But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
Romans 12:12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up

Acts 8:32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:
Matthew 27:14 And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marveled greatly.
Personal Thoughts and Application:
I’ve heard it said, ” Don’t pray for patience because you just might get what you prayed for.” The implication is that you will have to endure terrible suffering and hardship as God’s tools of teaching patience. I think that people forget God promises not to tempt us beyond what we can bear and He also promises us His Spirit to comfort us and teach us and mold us into the image of Christ. For every test that life brings us, we can be assured that if we are His child, nothing passes our way that He does not think we are ready for, and He will not abandon or forsake us. When I have to endure things, I find that it keeps me focused on Him and wholly dependent on Him. That’s a good place to be. When I feel restless and impatient, I know that I am not resting in His truth and trusting in His plans for me. We all want that “Peace that passes all understanding” and I’m sure it comes with an equal dose of patience. Those who have patience have hope that there is a purpose to whatever it is they must endure, and that the refining fire of enduring will produce the brilliant gold of God’s stamp on their life.
PRAYER FOR YOU: May you be clothed in patience and may you use the trial or circumstance you must endure to make you focus on God and His provision alone. May you think before you act and choose to honor God with your actions, words, and with the choices to keep hoping, trusting, and obeying.
